School Governing Committees

SSC: SCHOOL SITE COUNCIL

Each fall, new parent representatives are elected to the School Site Council (SSC). This committee is comprised of parents, teachers, administrators, and other staff members. This committee works with the administration on the school budget, the academic or school improvement plan, and is the official group that determines how we spend our Categorical Funds, including Federal Title 1 funds, in years that we have them. In 2015-16, we are in "Hold Harmless," which means we are no longer a Title 1 school, but receive a reduced amount of Federal aid to prepare us for no aid in 2016-17.

We urge you to attend these monthly meetings and gain a direct voice in the policies of Dahlia Heights.

ELAC: ENGLISH LEARNER ADVISORY COMMITTEE

The ELAC committee advises the school on how to improve the academic achievement of English Learner students and makes budgetary and other recommendations to the School Site Council. Each fall, new parent representatives are elected to our council, which includes parents, teachers, administrators and staff. Meetings are held monthly and visitors are welcome.

ELECTIONS & QUORUMS
